SESSIONS is a SUBMIX-developed application that offers video calls, multi-screen sharing, remote control, studio-quality audio, internet MIDI, dedicated mic & audio channels, session scheduling, and more. It allows you to route dedicated, high-quality audio based on your connection. You can send MIDI from your DAW or outboard/hardware gear. Plus, your conversations have dedicated voice channels, so they don’t bleed into your music.
PATCHBAY is a SUBMIX-developed application that enables seamless routing, streaming, recording, and collaboration with uncompressed, studio-quality audio in real-time. Its purpose is to facilitate the streaming of audio from any DAW to the following destinations:
- The SUBMIX SESSIONS App
- A SUBMIX SESSIONS web browser
- Another DAW
Although Bluetooth headphones are compatible with Submix, the macOS Bluetooth system greatly reduces the quality of audio and may introduce artificial artifacts. For more stable performance, we suggest using wired headphones.
Occasionally, Patchbay may not show your connected audio interface. Reconnecting the interface and restarting the Patchbay app usually results in it being recognized.
Double-check that you have given permission for Submix to access your camera and microphone. These permissions can be found in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
